The Stubborn Side of Me: When Persistence Becomes a Problem I've always thought of myself as someone who doesn’t give up easily. If I set my mind to something, I stick with it—sometimes to a fault. Over time, I’ve come to realize there’s a very thin line between persistence and stubbornness. Stubbornness, in many ways, has shaped who I am. It’s helped me push through challenges, stand up for what I believe in, and stay loyal to my values. But on the flip side, it’s also led me to resist change, ignore good advice, and hold onto things I should have let go of long ago. One thing I’ve learned is that being stubborn isn’t always about strength. Sometimes, it’s fear in disguise—fear of failure, fear of looking weak, or fear of uncertainty.
